At the beginning of March, Getting British Business Online (GBBO) teamed up with a number of prominent companies including Google and BT. This initiative is aimed at helping Britain’s small businesses get online – half of which still don’t have a website.
The aim of GBBO is to get 100,000 businesses online with a free website by the end of this year. Because of the programming behind GBBO is an easy to use wizard, it’ll only take someone 15 minutes to create their first website. They will then get their own .co.uk web address for free and can choose the design of their site based on a number of pre-made templates. After their site is up and running, businesses can incorporate PayPal as an ecommerce solution so they can sell on their site.
If you are a British business and want to sign-up for your free website, go to www.gbbo.co.uk for more details.
